I need to pay my college $3,000 for just the fall semester by August 7th. Apparently I didn't qualify for aid this year. I've only got half of it covered by loans. $3,000 is whats left. Blah.

Maybe trying applying for scholarships? My bf has his entire first year paid off because of them. Or maybe try to get a job at your college to help pay? I don't know if they do that, but it sounds like a good idea to me....

How the heck did you guys choose majors? I am so lost. I was thinking about majoring in history, art, or political science. I have no idea.

it's ok not to have an idea for a major. in my own story, i spent two years as an undeclared student before leaving college altogether. I have saved my college money and plan to go back when i figure out what i want to do. it was important for me to continue on with my life until i found what i want to do. and even though i still plan on going back, i wont be doing so until i know im not going to be spending money taking math and reading mark twain all over again. its okay to be undecided; just pace yourself.

If your college has a career services office or something that can help you try to determine what your interests are and try to focus them into a major, try doing that. At my college I think there is a test you can take to figure out what are some majors you might be interested in. Or try taking a lot of general classes that apply to a lot of majors to find something to "inspire" you and find something you enjoy. I've been looking into grad school programs and when I should take the GRE.

Well, there are things that I like to do but would not want to have a career in it. People say I would be a very good teacher, but I really don't want to be. Mer!

i know what you mean, there are lots of things I like to do a lot, but having to every day, as a job would suck.
I might consider going to college or university eventually, but probably not. I have the grades for either, but I enjoy my job and have room to expand with it.
Good luck btw
