Oh, that's cool. My cousin in SC got an automatic scholarship because of her GPA. In-state rates are really cheap in NC. Nothing like that in VA, though. How are the apps coming? P.S. Got my acceptance letter from George Mason...fat envelope

Elegibility in a Local Context. I think the school submits their top 4% of students (it was 4% in our school, maybe because we're not as good as you guys). That is really strange that you weren't selected because I know your grades, SAT score, and I assume AP scores are much better than mine but I was. Maybe your school is just weird...
And your lucky Sarah, I'm not going to be getting any acceptance letters until March or April, although I'm guaranteed admission to UC San Diego with ELC.

I'm dooooone with all my college stuff! Submitted everything last night ;D ;D
Congrats on getting into George Mason!
Maybe it was 4% Elena, I don't remember. And you got into UCSD through ELC?? That's awesome. The people in ELC I've talked to have only gotten into Santa Barbara and Davis and I think one more school (not SD). Are you applying anywhere besides UCs?

USC, Pepperdine, and Stanford. I doubt I'll get into Stanford, no one in my school has ever gotten in there and I am by no means the most impressive student to attend. My mom wont pay for the application fee for out of states so I am not applying to any even though Notre Dame was my top school ;(. ELC guaranteed Davis, Irvine, SD, Merced, Riverside and SB.

Pepperdine is beautiful (though you've probably seen it)! We had a cross country meet there.

Never seen Pepperdine, sadly. Only one of those I've been to is USC. And, yes, my essays are done.

Got a pretty decent scholarship from Mason but the school is pretty crappy, so I don't think I'm going there. I think I've narrowed it down to UVA and BU, but it still depends on aid (BU is ridiculously expensive), and of course if I get in.
