yeah, spanish is easier to speak. but its hard to speak spanish well.

Fair beans. But apparently most people find German easiest. Each to their own. Latin would be cool. I think it is totally vital to speak other peoples languages, to create an understanding of their culture to some extent and also if you go there. I know speaking French made a lot of difference when we went to Paris, especially when I said J'habite un Pays de Galles, the attitude in their voices from when they asked if we were English was suddenly GONE. XD You could lamost picture the one waiter rushing into the kitchen: "Don't spit in their food, don't spit in their food, they're not Anglais!!" Lmao. And I think Chinese is harder than Japanese, too. All those tones in Chinese. After spending three days in Germany, I totally want to learn German now! It's a pretty cool language, but there are surpisingly few cognates English/German cognates. There are far more French/English ones.
