Okay, I know it sounds kinda old-ladyish, but especially since the holidays are coming up I thought it would be interesting to post some of our favorite recipes. My mom just made cranberry bread. It's the best stuff ever. I'll post it soon.

Chilli Con Carne
1 tbsp oil 460g/1lb minced beef 2 tsps ground cumin 2 tsps mild or hot chili powder Pinch of oregano Salt, pepper and pinch of sugar ΒΌ tsp garlic powder 2 ttbsps of flour 460g/1lb canned tomatoes 460/1lb canned red kidney beans Boiled rice, to serve
(1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and brown the meat, breaking it up with a fork as it cooks. (2. Sprinkle on the cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper and sugar, garlic and flour. Cook, stirring frequently, over a medium heat for about 3 minutes. (3. Add the tomatoes and their liquid and simmer for 25-30 mins. (4. Drain the kidney beans and add just before serving, heating through for about 5 minutes.
Time: Preparation takes about 15 minutes. Cooking takes about 10 minutes to brown the meat and 25-30 minutes to cook after the tomatoes are added.
Serving Ideas: Cram down kids throat with spatula and lubricant. OR, take their suggestion and top with combo of sour cream, chopped onion, grated cheese and diced avocado and accompany with tortillas. Personally, I think their ideas are stupid but oh well
To Freeze: Allow the chili to cool completely and place in rigid containers, seal, label and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw completely before re-heating.

Mmm... And I've never heard of cranberry bread... Can we post drinks, too, or should we keep it strictly food?

But of course (see my post in the smoothie thread).
Serving Ideas: Cram down kids throat with spatula and lubricant.
Witty...bet you thought no one would notice. I love chili, though. I suppose I could leave out the meat and try your recipe, but I think my mom's might be pretty hard to beat.

I got it out of a recipe book, I did it for my sister originally, with the comments stuck in to surprise her but it was still saved in my docs so I chucked it on here too.
