my first influence would be Metallica.. the song that made me want to play guitar was 'Nothing Else Matters' that solo at the end just digs deep into me and I can just feel it.. my next influences would be Randy Rhoads (late Ozzy Osbourne guitarist) and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) just the way that they played.. Rhoads influences in classical music truly shined out and truly influenced me into learning some classical music.. while Petrucci just amazes me with every little thing he does... a true virtuoso of the guitar.. I doubt Ill ever feel acomplished.. I dont feel it and never have in the past.. it wont matter how many songs I can play not even if it is all of Petrucci's stuff.. it will only matter when I can write my own music and lyrics to the same degree or better (which I doubt will ever happen) as Petrucci himself.. I wish I could be even half the guitarist he is..

Well since since in between 2003 and 2005 my three favorite bands (Metallica, Green Day, U2) came out with awesome albums I became really serious about wanting my career to involve music. I know those three bands inspire me along with the Beatles and the Who. Listening to those bands inspired me to play the guitar.

YOUR MOM!!! HAHAHA!!! Too lazy to list. But not too lazy to hurl rather lame and ineffective insults...perhaps your on-line time and enjoyment would be better served elsewhere... Influences: Django Rheinhardt Charlie Christian Brent Mason Chet Atkins Alan Holdsworth John Petrucci Larry Carlton Pat Martino John McLaughlin Geddy Lee Chris Squire Tony Levin What started it all: 9 years old and listend to Kiss; it was all downhill from there. I eventually discovered Rush, Yes, King Krimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra and others. I've been playing guitar, bass, piano, and singing and writing songs for most of my life.

It's been a while since i made this post and i'm going to have to name another guitarist who i missed out.
John Squire (previosuly of the Stone Roses and The Seahorses), a truely amazing guitarist. I think that much of him that i even said he was better than Matt Bellamy to the girl i love (a Muse fan) and she nearly killed me...
ahhh... good times
but seriously, listen to Love Spreads by The Stone Roses and Love is the Law by The Seahorses, truely amazing guitar songs.

Nirvana, Neil Young, and Led Zeppelin. Although all of the music that I love has a strong influence on me, all of it. I just wish I had the musical success to back it up.
