I doubt anyone saw the films, just doubt it.
I saw them both back to back on Sunday night, was: excited to know the film had been made, pleased to know such a film was shown, apprehensive that it may be a fuck-up.
Was thoroughly glad and content to know: it was great. It was as historically accurate as they could have made it, it was carefully made, attention to detail was excellent, and it was what a film about Che Guevara's later life in the Cuban revolution and Bolivian revolution should have been.
The actors were very good, particularly Benicio Del Torro who played Che. Who not only made the role characteristic of Che, but also looked enough like him to make it work.
Unfortunately Che Part Two was a little depressing, but when it's on the subject of the Bolivian revolution and Che's execution just less than a year after embarking on the revolution, what can you expect.
No happy endings here, but a very happy film going Commy.
