I have to start planning it pretty soon and would love some suggestions. I've only been to one and it was a few years ago, so I don't really have much of a reference. If you've had yours or been to some, what did you like or not like about it? Any ideas for speakers or themes?

You mean you're in charge of planning your whole school's graduation? Or is this like a party?

Well I'm not solely in charge, all of the class officers are. I should have been more clear, haha. But yeah, I'm talking about the big event.

oh haha i was about to be like....3 kegs....4 pong tables.....
um at my graduation we just had the top 3 kids in the class speak. And the principal and other important staff people. Also, this guy who got into the naval academy had a little recognition and made a speech.

Well traditionally the class president speaks (gah) and the valedictorian of course, and then we select some other person from around the community or something. I was thinking about maybe the SGA President at Tech, because he's pretty good at speaking...I just don't know.

Yay speech! I'm sure you'll do awesomely. Post your speech when you've written it. Gonna go for sappy, funny...?
At our school, the class president, the ASB (like student council) president, and a couple valedictorians make speeches.
When you have someone from the community come in and speak, what do they talk about? Because like... they don't really know your class.

They just give general advice and stuff.
Blah...I'm so worried about it. I don't know what I'm going to do yet...funny is scary because if your humor misses it can be really embarassing. I really hate cliches, though, so I don't think it'll be too sappy. I just don't know...

The trick is to not try to hard and it'll go fine.

We worked on it today, and it's going pretty well. I think we're steering pretty far away from the cliches.

Swans carved out of ice are pretty much iceberg for the titanic that is your plan.
