At my high school we got them for the upcoming school year in June. That's awesome! Also, my schedule t-totally got fixed. Now I get to arrive late, and still leave before lunch. And no conflict with cross country practice

You don't have to be at school for every period?

You don't have to be at school for every period? Hellllll no. There are 7 periods, 1-5 before lunch and 6-7 after lunch. I only have four classes (I think you have to have a minimum of either 3 or 4). So I only have periods 2-5. It's awesome. Almost all the seniors don't have 6th or 7th periods, so they leave before lunch.

Wow that's amazing. You can't do that at my school; you either just take more classes or sign up to be the guidance dept's bitch. I chose more classes.

hahahaha. You mean you can't be a TA? Kids at my school who want to fill up an extra period offer to TA for their favorite teacher/a teacher who's writing them a letter of recommendation.

Nope, can't do that. What do they do? Just make copies for them and stuff or actually help them teach?

They do all kinds of things... check off homework, enter grades into the gradebook, help set up labs and things, or whatever the teacher wants them to do. They don't help teach, though.
So what exactly are you taking your senior year if you have so many classes? I kind of ran out of things to take. I have a math, a science, English, and gov/econ (that's one class). No PE for seniors, I'm done with my foreign language, I did all the required art/music stuff. There's not much else to do.

Just a bunch of extra classes that aren't required. Technically I only have to take Gov and English. I'm taking two extra science classes (physics, AP enviro), AP Calc, and Journalism.

Awww. My school doesn't allow people to take more than one science class at once. I really really wanted to do that and have physics either this year or last year.

Really? Do they just not have enough teachers?

They don't have the budget to have teachers teach more sections, unfortunately.

Oh that is unfortunate. I don't even like science that much but for some reason I felt inclined to take both.

I'm jealous that you're there for so short of a time! In all reality, though. My schedule rocks this year...I'm really liking it. My three hardest classes are first, so I just chill the rest of the day. But the whole idea that Junior year is the hardest is such a lie.
