The Free Application for Federal Student Aid? Yeah that. After you fill it out it gives you a number; your "Expected Family Contribution" (EFC). Apparently how much your parents are EXPECTED to give you? Last year when I was living with my mom, that number was like 1000+, this year, now that I'm living with my dad and he makes more, that number is 7000 something. So he is expected to give me that? My mom definitely didnt give me $1000 and I know my dad wont give me $7000. He couldnt if he wanted to. And this higher number means I'm not as eligible for aid, like federal grants and stuff. Because my dad makes more. This irritates me because even if your parents are millionaires, it all depends on how much they are willing to help. I mean, what if you are rich and your parents are making you do it all on your own? I dont know, I just think its crap. So now I'm going to have to apply to try and get a TON of scholarships, which I probably wont get because I'm not that active in the community, because they usually give them to "leaders." heh. Haha and theres my rant.

Aw, that really really sucks. Can you possibly move back in with your mom? Good luck on the scholarships.
