Oh, there was more to the prompt; I just didn't include it before. It was:
Many people deny that stories about characters and events that are not real can teach us about ourselves or about the world around us. They claim that literature does not offer us worthwhile information about the real world. These people argue that the feelings and ideas we gain from books and stories obstruct, rather than contribute to, clear thought. Adapted from Jennifer L. McMahon, "The Function of Fiction"

The more I think about it, it would actually be a lot harder to have to read a long thing and than write an essay. The practice SAT I took today asked whether people need to pay more attention to the private information they divulge. Gah, it was so hard to write in 25 minutes. My essay was shit. The prompts aren't that hard but that seems like a ridiculously short amount of time.

^ That is a tough prompt. Usually they're a lot more vague, like "Does motivation to change come from within?" or something.

I get my scores back the day before spring break starts (next Wednesday)...and I'm going to tour William and Mary over break. I guess if they really suck I should just not bother, haha.

They are posted. Crazy, either I read the date wrong (and I doubt it) or they just came in early. I'm pretty happy with what I got, though, for the first time. They put me in about the middle 50% of the schools that I want to go. Too bad the best score by far was writing. Have you taken them yet?

Oh golly, so you can pretty much go wherever you want to. I got a 2190. I'll probably take it again to try to do better on the math...and I have to take 3 SAT II's to apply to UVA. Have you taken any of those?
