The melodies, harmonies and intensity of that song are sublime. Mick really nailed that one.

The melodies, harmonies and intensity of that song are sublime. Mick really nailed that one. Not like keith richards and enjoying Paint it Black is completely understandable since Brian Johnson was responsible for that one. And yes Keith Richards has an ugly tone, its twangy and swaggering and off kilter and exactly what i expect from my rock and roll bands. If guitar playing were a gesture keith richards playing would be crotch grabbing which i think is pretty much what The Stones were (and still are) all about.

You have a good point there. I think ultimately it's just his tone that REALLY bothers me. I also hate the "whooo whooo's" on Sympathy For the Devil.

1. Johnny Depp, obvious. 2. Leonardo DiCaprio, pretty boy. Look at his body of work before "Titanic fever," of which he approached like all of his roles before, acting first. He is an actor's actor, with an emphasis on acting. I put him on calibre with Depp in this, and Hollywood got what they needed at the time. A leading man that could actually act. 3. I'm torn, but since it's third. I'll put the man I find I'm rarely disappointed in; Christopher Walken. Even comedy can be creepy

Christopher Walken is the man.
Solid choices on the other two as well. I've been a Depp fan for years and have got to say that very rarely has he let me down. Dicaprio, on the other hand, has some very dark spots on his resumé. I will say though, that he has the potential to be one of the greats. What's Eating Gilbert Grape is a really good example. I mean, the guy out acted Depp for crying out loud.

Two more Walken fans. ^ haha, Christopher Walken is awesome. Have you seen Blast from the Past? Yup. Good movie. Christopher Walken is the man. Solid choices on the other two as well. What's Eating Gilbert Grape, liked that movie, and he sure did out act Depp. I hope we get to see somemore performances like that.

Gangs of New York was phenomenal as well. When it comes to Depp, I think that his personal best was in The Libertine. Benny and Joon comes in a close second, though.

Hey wait, make that three new Walken fans! Johnny Depp was my first love. I think I've literally seen almost every movie he's been in... I'm one of those you-name-it-I've-seen-it fans with him. I also really like Leo, but I agree that he has a few movies that are like... ehh. I've been wanting to see the Basketball Diaries for a while, but haven't gotten around to it yet. But I willllllll. I'm trying to think of other actors I like. Let's see... OH. Cillian Murphy. he's amazing. Also Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Edward Norton, River Phoenix (R.I.P.), Tim Curry, there's so many of them... And I wish Malcolm McDowell was in a lot less sucky movies. The only really good ones I can think of are ACO and Time After Time. I've been trying to find this insanely obscure movie of his but I just can't find it anywhere.

It's called If... (yes, with the ellipses). It's supposed to be an amazing movie, but I just can't find it. The thing is, I don't know if it's out on DVD yet, which could be a factor of that. lol.
