Hello everyone, I'm new here and just getting familiar with this board. I'm very happy to say that I will be going to see Roger Waters this June in Vancouver!!! Whooo Hoooo! I have always kicked myself for never seeing Pink Floyd in concert well at least now I can see Roger! Has anyone ever seen their DVD when they performed lived in Germany right where the Wall used to be (shortly after the wall came down)?? It is so fabulous it gives me chills! They had sensational guests for that concert too such as Van Morrison and Cindy Lauper and so many other great guests. It's a great show! Take care people!!!

Oooh, he has been to Berlin in... April... March... Whatever... I haven't been there. And... Back then I didn't even know and I think... it was way too expensive anyway. Anyway... Great man. *grin* Oi, look out there... Rajah! Before I am completely going crazy... I'll be off. (makes mental note: has to visit this thread more often... )

I saw him this past summer inside, and in 2006 outside. The indoor concert sounded much better, but the outdoor concert was special. Here is part of a review I posted on "Brain Damage";
I can’t say enough good things about the show or the Band for that matter. I’ve never had the opportunity to see Roger Waters before. I am amazed that at age 63 he can still belt them out. I read the newspaper reviews for the September 8th show. In no way shape or form do they describe how good the show was, nor do they give the band the credit it deserves.
The show was flawless, absolutely flawless, not a bad song selection. I can’t hop, skip, and jump around the country, so I don’t care that the set list is “the same as…”. I went with my friend John. He has seen Roger Waters four times previous to this. He said it’s the best show he’s seen them do.
We were in section 8 all the way to the left side of the venue. We could see the moon (which was full the night before) travel across the sky as the show went on. During Dark Side when the verse “the sun is eclipsed by the Moon”, everyone who knew it was there turned, and pointed up at it. It’s an evening I will never forget.
I am glad he gave the Arab family that took him in some thanks. I have one complaint about the crowd, too many people yelling “sit down”, while it gave my feet a rest - it’s a rock concert…. Thanks, hope to see them again soon.
