I've joined a new band after ending all previous connections with various groups.
So far it consists of myself on lead guitar, Rich on rythym guitar, and Dave on drums. We already have lost our bassist due to distances getting in the way and are currently auditioning replacements. We may be adding yet another guitarist/keyboard player in the near future depending on how well we work with him. Prog rock leaves so many possiblilities
We still need a name though..

^ Not a bad suggestion Tel, maybe as a quirk they could all dress up in BDSM outfits to emphasis their name. Learn a few words of german and they will be on there way

My brother, friend and I just recently formed a band. It's me (syd) on bass and vocals, Carlie (my friend) on guitar and backing vocals, and Dave (brother) on drums. It's cool cause we all work really well together. Only problem is we don't have a name...lol

I first started off in high school with my buddies. We kicked around a few names when new members came and went. We started off called Area 51, then changed it when we found a few bands using the name. We then shifted the name to Hanger 18 to keep with the UFO theme we had generated with our sound. I played percussion, electronic "noise" and backing vocals. When most of us went off to college the band had another name change when a few new guys were added. We became Day Over 40. We have been on hiatus since college (about 10 years ago) but get together and jam in the back room at time. Many original songs, but alot of covers as well. I went on to a few other bands in the mean time. I was in a band called the Sumos of Happiness, and actually had a 4 track album out called "Sumo Tsunami". It was pretty much instrumental space/surf. The cover was pretty cool, it was the classic "big wave' water painting from a Japanese artist who escapes my mind at the moment, with a sumo on a surf board at the very top. LOL I don't know how many copies we actually sold, but I know we only had like 50 printed up. I later hooked up with a college buddy of mine (who had been doing a one man band) and got into a new psychedelic/blues combo that spun from his old band Blue Pod. We started playing on the streets in the old down town area of our town and in small pubs and art galleries. I was asked to play washboard and theremin for the band after I told them I had no idea how to play piano, no matter how much I smoked. So then Outhouse Moan was formed. We now have an electric jug player, a bass/banjo player, drummer, washtub bass player, tambourine and jews harp, and myself on washboard and theremin. You can hear us on myspace: www.myspace.com/outhousemoanband or see our site: www.outhousemoan.comWe have been taking a break from gigs, seeing alot of us have been moving around and getting married (and a few divorced), but we get together to jam when we can. We need to get our live album finished in a cleaner format. I think the coolest show we did was when we played two nights with the legendary Golden Dawn from Austin's 60's psychedelic movement. I am starting up a side project to keep me active in music. I haven't thought of an official name for the band, but it's mainly going to be my in-laws (they are all musically inclined), but I'm leaning toward the name, Green Apple Quickstep. but when I'm not playing music or going to music gigs, I'm making gig posters for bands. So if any of you need cool stuff to promote your band, I'm good and I'm cheap.

In the process of starting a blues/rock band.
It actually sprung forth from me and a drummer just jamming (we were doing some sort of thrash metal thing) and just decided to do something a bit more lose feeling, so I went back to what I'm most comfortable playing (blues/southern rock) and we pretty much came up with three songs on the spot. We're aiming at doing mainly covers at first but will be working on original material as well. The cover aspect is just because we want to get out and start playing as soon as possible.
As long as I manage not to butcher any David Gilmore solos, it should be cool.
