Never saw the tv series. Don't think they showed it in the US. I'm reading "Night" that one book about the Holocaust That book is good but it's pretty said, obviously. Right now I'm reading "Breakfast of Champions" by Kurt Vonnegut, really good and funny book.

Autobiography of a Geisha (not to be confused with Memoirs of a Geisha). Really interesting, the first non-fiction book that I can remember liking for awhile.

"Confessions Of A Backup Dancer" Sounds like it'd be a true story, but it's not.

Re-reading the Ravenor series until my copy of the Hedge Knight arrives (impossible to find in UK). I'm also working my way through the D20 Modern Core Rulebook and the D20 Modern: Apocalypse supplement. Incidentally, I'm writing my own adaption of the D20 Modern rules, as well as a campaign to go with it. I've got two sets of three people playing it. If anyon'e interested, drop m a PM and I'll see about sorting you a copy of the rules and/or starting a game if you fancy.

I'm toward the end of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. It's a classic, and I'm really enjoying it.

It was the kind of book that I didn't like while I was reading it, but afterwards I did.

Bah, the Hedge Knight still hasn't arrived. In the mean time, I'm gonna read the first book in the Song of Ice and Fire series - a Game of Thrones. Also, to my joy, the 6th book in the series, a Feast for Crows, has been released on audio CD since it was the best selling novel in the US for several weeks. So I'm gonna import that from the states, rip it onto my iRiver and have ASOIAF follow me everywhere

I'm reading "Rebel Angels" by Libba Bray, and I love it so far. I started it after I finished "Fight Club", I think...

Allison, keep reading it. I didn't like it either, but there were definitely some parts that were well-written and entertaining. Most of it is boring backstory, but you can honestly skip over some of it (toward the middle, when Maharet explains Akasha and Enkil's story) and still understand it. I actually DID read all of it, but I wish I skipped some. It was useless. I can just tell you what happened and shit if you want to skip it.
