Ah but the point is not how you sound saying it, but that you trivialise the police force and take away their menace.
Anyoen heard of Screws for prison wardens? And no claiming that's american because I know for a fact we had it first.

hahaha. I won't make any claims for that. I've never heard that... in fact, most of the people I know don't talk about prison wardens enough to have slang for them

It came from one of the prison punishments, where inmates were made to turn a handle for a certain number of cranks, after an allotted amount of time a prison warden would literally screw the bolts on the box tighter to make it harder to turn. This had no actual use and was simply to take up time and energy from the criminals.
