yeah, i still have a fondness for most of the music i listened to when i was younger. but i did go through some pretty ugly phases which i'd like to avoid at all costs now, and evanescence was part of one of those phases.
i've recently discovered a canadian/german musician who goes by the name of king khan. he has two bands, the king khan & bbq show and king khan & the shrines. the king khan & bbq show sound like a 60s garage band with a touch of doo-wop. king khan & the shrines have more of a psychedelic soul sound, complete with a horn section and yowling vocals. neither band sounds like they belong in this decade, and i absolutely LOVE them.
the end. phew.

Yeah, though a lot of stuff I listened to when I was younger doesn't get played often, it comes up once in a while. I was listening to Rancid the other day lol Now that was from a while back. It was on a mix CD from a few years ago lol
Don't you love hearing old mixed stuff? I recently listened to a mix TAPE I had when I was a single digit. Full of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Hendrix, Leonard Cohen and everything. I can bet you anything that my dad made it for me lol I loved that tape.

I have been listening to Nirvana a lot lately. They are underrated, and yet overrated.

I agree! The songs that they play all the time...super overrated. I mean, they're great songs, but super overplayed. My dad used to play their albums all the time when I was a chillin; I'm glad I had great rents when I was growing up.
Anyway, I'm really into Sea Wolf and Rogue Wave. I saw Rogue Wave live and got to meet them. They're such cool people and great musicians!
