The Rolling Stones ones.. definitely. Haven't come across anyone in a PF shirt to pass off as trendy.
I think it's kinda silly and I wouldn't do that. But for some, they just can't help but like the design.. so hey. It's just clothing to them. And it's not really a big deal to me. So I don't really mind.

But you wouldn't say "Hey, it's just clothing" if it was supporting Hitler or something. Then it wouldn't be "Maybe they just like how the swastika highlights their jeans" Not exactly the same but you get my point, sometimes stuff like this is important to people. There was a similar post to this about Zep once and how the people could never name anything bar Stairway.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I remember talking to someone who loved the Rolling Stones logo even though she wasn't much of a fan and knew shit-all about them. And .. well, she just seemed to love it in such an innocent way and she's a kind person at heart so I don't have much prejudice against people who do that.

I've not come across anyone that's worn a Floyd top and NOT known something about them...i think if i did it should be my right to rip it off their backs.

I will say this i am glad that they reproduced some of the classic concert t shirts .When i bought mine i wore a small and over the years it either shrunk or something .But in my defence if i wear it i have seen the band live in most cases quite a few times. Rolling Stones Van Halen Doobie Brothers 78 new orleans ZZ Top New Orleans the night they recorded the live side of Fandango

I see it a lot more with girls. Yeah, especially the Rolling Stones symbol, I think they just like the big glammy lips O-o Bastard heathens.

Well, that's because they sell them, along with the Stones, and other rock band tees, at Walmart and Target, for relatively cheap. I think it would be much cooler to wear a Pink Floyd t-shirt, with, the words, "I Hate", painted across, like Johnny Rotten, used to wear, back in the Seventies. Of course, he didn't really hate Pink Floyd. He was just having a laugh.

To be fair, the dark side of the moon album cover makes a great t-shirt and most band logo's where meant to look good on t-shirts so if they sell without people knowing much about the band that's really just a testament to how good the symbol is.
I don't really get riled up about people wearing stones shirts or stuff like that cause they're mostly kids. Kids do stupid stuff all the time. So they couldn't tell you which zeppelin album had stairway to heaven on it. At least they know that song, rather than be angry about how little people know about a band you should be glad they know anything at all. Otherwise they could always just look at you funny and go "Who?" ( I get this a lot when i tell people i'm going home to see Tom Waits in concert. "Who?"....The weird doctor/weapons scientist from Mystery Men...."oh.......Who?")
btw Stairway is on IV in case you might be doubting my "zep cred"
XD
also my sister had this happen to her once, she was wearing an ac/dc t-shirt at a festival and some older guy looks at her and goes "i bet you can't even name three songs by ac/dc" So she rattles off back in Black, Tnt and Dirty Deeds Done dirt cheap and says she thinks there's one called Thunderstruck. The guy looks at her amazed and says Thunderstruck is an album (WRONG. Even old "fans" get stuff wrong.) My sister was 14 at the time. Go her. STICK IT TO THE OLD MAN!
